Looking for live music in Ridgway, Colorado, or a relaxed place to land after a day in the San Juan Mountains? August brings a full run of concerts, open mic nights, and an all-day anniversary celebration to Floating Lotus Brewery.
Our taproom sits at 144 Campbell Lane in Ridgway, close to the Uncompahgre River and an easy stop between Ouray, Montrose, and Telluride. The brewery makes its house beers on-site in one-barrel batches, and the stage brings local favorites together with touring musicians throughout the month.

- Wednesdays in August · Open Mic & Jam NightSignups begin at 5:30 p.m., and the music runs from 6–9:30 p.m. The house stage has a PA, microphones, drums, bass gear, and space for solo performers or full-band collaborations. Admission is free.
- Saturday, August 8 · Floating Lotus 2-Year Anniversary CelebrationAn all-day brewery celebration with food and drink specials, cornhole, giveaways, TBP Joe on the outdoor stage, and an indoor EDM set from Sean Universe and DJ Photon.
- Thursday, August 13 · Spencer Marlyn BandA high-energy two-person sound spanning funk, reggae, bluegrass, jam, folk, and psychedelia. The outdoor-stage show is all ages, with $10 admission and advance tickets through SimpleTix.
- Thursday, August 20 · Motel ProphetsRidgway folk rock with country-tinged vocals, rootsy storytelling, and a loose mountain-town feel. This outdoor show is free and all ages.
- Friday, August 21 & Thursday, August 27 · The Fabulous Blues TonesTwo chances to hear hard-driving blues, deep-cut favorites, strong vocals, and a tight rhythm section. Both performances run from 6–9 p.m.
- Friday, August 28 · Alpine JamRidgway-based rock and roll, blues, upbeat country, dynamic vocals, saxophone, guitar leads, and instrumental jams from 6–9 p.m.
- Sunday, August 30 · Western MedicineA six-piece Los Angeles band with Western Slope roots, moving from powerful harmonies and distortion to acoustic guitar and lap steel. The show runs from 6–9 p.m.
A Ridgway brewery built for music and community
Floating Lotus is an ultra-small-batch brewery, which means the person brewing the beer stays close to every batch from recipe through first pour. The lineup changes as small batches move, but you can expect a mix of lagers, wheat ales, IPAs, amber ale, porter, house-made hard seltzer when available, and nonalcoholic options. The room is designed to be welcoming whether you came specifically for the band or simply found us while searching for things to do in Ridgway. Shows include established touring acts, Colorado musicians, local bands, and Wednesday open mic sessions where new collaborations often begin.
Food, families, dogs, and outdoor shows
Floating Lotus is family friendly. The in-house Munchies Menu offers quick taproom snacks, Taqueria Alonzo delivers a larger selection of entrées to the brewery, and outside food is welcome. Review the Food page for current choices.
Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome on the patio but cannot be inside the taproom because food is served. Outdoor-stage performances may move or change when mountain weather makes that necessary, so the Events page is the best source immediately before a show.
Planning a stop between Ouray and Telluride
Ridgway makes a natural pause in a Southwest Colorado road trip. If your day includes the hot springs in Ouray, a drive toward Telluride, a visit to Ridgway State Park, or time along the river, the brewery offers a low-key place to finish with a fresh pint and live music.
